the Child of Light
物語の舞台は、遠い未来のAIと共存する星、テラノス。この星には人々が心の状態を光の色で示す独特の能力があった。幸せや愛情を感じるときは、明るい光を放ち、逆に悲しみや絶望を感じるときは暗い色の光を放つ。
The setting of the story is Teranos, a distant star where people coexist with AI. On this planet, people had a unique ability to display their emotional state with the color of light. They emit a bright light when feeling happiness or love, and conversely, they release a dark-colored light when feeling sadness or despair.
テラノスには、ルミアという特別な少女がいた。彼女は生まれたときから一切の光を放たなかった。この特異な状態に、村人たちは彼女を避け、彼女は孤独な日々を送っていた。
On Teranos, there was a special girl named Lumia. From the moment she was born, she did not emit any light. Because of this peculiar condition, the villagers avoided her, leading her to spend her days in solitude.
ある日、村の中央に立つ大きなクリスタルが光を失い、テラノス全体が暗闇に包まれた。このクリスタルは星のエネルギー源であり、その光が失われれば星も滅びると言われていた。村人たちはパニックになり、解決策を探し始めた。
One day, a large crystal standing in the center of the village lost its light, plunging the entire planet of Teranos into darkness. This crystal was said to be the energy source of the star, and if its light was lost, the star would perish. The villagers began to panic and started looking for a solution.
ルミアは村の古老から、彼女が光を放たない真実の理由を聞かされる。実は、彼女の中には他の誰よりも強い「光」が秘められているが、それは特別な瞬間まで放たれることがないという。
Lumia was told by the village elders the true reason she did not emit light. In fact, she held a "light" within her stronger than anyone else's, but it would not be released until a special moment.
村人たちはルミアに助けを求め、彼女はクリスタルの前に立った。彼女は自分の心の中にある愛、喜び、希望の想いを思い浮かべ、クリスタルに向かってその思いを込めて手を伸ばした。すると、彼女の体から強烈な光が放たれ、クリスタルもそれに応えるように輝き始めた。
The villagers sought help from Lumia, and she stood before the crystal. She thought of the love, joy, and hope in her heart and reached out to the crystal with those feelings. As she did, an intense light emitted from her body, and the crystal began to shine in response.
全てが明るく照らされる中、ルミアの体は透明になり、彼女自体が光となって空に昇っていった。彼女は星を救うために、自らの命と引き換えに最も強い光を放ったのだった。
As everything was illuminated, Lumia's body became transparent, and she herself turned into light, rising into the sky. She had emitted the strongest light in exchange for her own life to save the star.
その後、ルミアの話はテラノス中に広がり、彼女は「光の子」として称えられるようになった。彼女の物語は、愛と犠牲、そして真の美しさについての教えとして、永遠に語り継がれることとなった。
The story of Lumia then spread throughout Theranos, where she was celebrated as the 'Child of Light'. Her story was to be told forever as a lesson about love, sacrifice and true beauty.
